Cherry Grove Lanes

Haha this place is garbage. Firstly, we arrived at 5pm on a SUNDAY. We were told league bowl lasts until 8pm and open bowl will continue from there on.That said, we went and got food and came back at 8:15pm to a line of people waiting. Upon reaching the front we were told it’d be over an hour wait. I asked the same guy who said open bowl starts at 8pm, and he replies, “oh ya it did but it’s only half the lanes.” The other half, you might ask? Oh it’s occupied by another league that starts after 8pm. This place is misconstrued and complete garbage.

I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to ever just walk in and bowl here. I’ve tried no less than 5 times and get told there’s no open bowling for one reason or another, doesn’t matter the time of day or what day of the week. Would be MASSIVELY helpful if they had an online schedule to let you know when the alley is closed for groups or leagues so you don’t waste time or gas.

A group of my coworkers and I come here about twice a year. Everytime they are rude and extremely unwelcoming. For as much money as we spend here, are patient and pleasant to them, it is shocking to be treated so poorly. The mechanics are also very bad and many of the lanes jam and they get annoyed if you ask for help, you will be waiting a while for your lane to be fixed as well. I would avoid this place.

I was having a great time at lunar bowl with my interracial family to bring in my birthday, and besides the bad vibe of not being welcomed into the establishment from the employees at the bar and register had become more apparent as the lane started to malfunction. We played 1 full game and the staff decided to carry a conversation instead of fixing the lane which so happened to be directly infront of the register. We had complained about multiple times then decided to just leave due to out dated service and the facility its self.

We played 1 full game & attempted a 2nd. We reported issues and waited patiently for them to be resolved numerous times without resolution and decided to just leave. Not worth the $100+ we spent at all. 100% racist vibes here! Our lane should have been switched after the 2nd complaint. Instead we wasted over 40+ minutes sitting in a broken lane, complaining and then leaving for them to try to switch our lane. Never again. Unfortunately the environment and staff were not welcoming. We had been so excited to bring my husband to celebrate his birthday. We tried to bowl during the lunar bowl. The bartender was incredibly rude to my husband, and the customer service was ridiculous. We got through 1 game plus 4 rolls of the 2nd game in 2 hours. The lane malfunctioned over 6x. Initially I went to the counter and the attendant said hed get someone to fix it. Took about 10mins, no problem its an old alley. 2nd-5th time they radio someone the lane takes its time eventually resets. The 6th time, my husband goes up and they say they reset it, he walks back over to our lane(directly in front of them) sits for 10mins, nothing changes with the lane. We make eye contact with the attendant several times as we attempt to allow them to work on it and have patience without being a bother/interrupting the convo they continue to have. I walk back over its been 15mins/20mins by this time (time is of the essence, the lane has not changed. They say oh its switched off now, maybe we should just switch your lane. By this time we have about 45mins of bowling left. we are paying to do unlimited bowling) we've gotten through 1 game. We are fed up and leave. Besides the environment not being welcoming into the establishment from the employees at the bar and register had become more apparent as the lane started to malfunction.
